WHO CAN BE A PART OF THE TEAM? The swim team is for any potential swimmer between the ages of 4 - 18. The team has a variety of programs and groups to meet the needs of all ability levels. If it is determined that the athlete is "water-safe," confident in the water, and is able to move them self across the pool, then they are ready for the team. Swimmers do not need to know the mechanics of the strokes, these skills will be taught to them.

HOW DO I START? All initial registration takes place on the pool deck during practice hours. If you want to try-out or just want more information, please e-mail Coach Devon to set up a time.

HOW LONG DO I GET TO DECIDE? When an athlete starts, we will collect all the fees and dues that are required for that quarter. However, once you start, you have a week to decide if you would like to continue. If so, we then will process your payments. If after a week you decide that the swim team is not for you, you will receive a full refund of your payments.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST? STOP is a non-profit organization. We rely on dues to cover the team's expenses and to maintain our commitment to a high quality, successful program. Payments are collected on a quarterly basis.

QUARTERLY DUES The dues listed here are the amounts for 1 month.

Swim Team: 1st Swimmer $90 a month

2nd Swimmer $50 a month

All additional swimmers are $40 a month.

Part-Time Rate (Only offered in the Fall & Winter Quarters) Under this program, each swimmer pays $60 a month for 2 Days a week.

REGISTRATION FEES These fees are collected annually on a calendar year and are non-refundable after the first week of participation.

Southern California Swimming - $55 a year.

OCSC Registration (Optional) - $25 a year (Summer Quarter Only)

FUND-RAISING The Swim Team of Placentia hosts two S.C.S. swim meets a year. Families are required to help run the meet by working two shifts. Outside of these two meets, there are no other required fund-raising responsibilities for families.
